The Triumph X75 was a ‘ factory special ‘ motorcycle designed by American fairing specialist Craig Vetter. Instantly recognisable by the swooping glass fibre bodywork, distinctive colours and triple exhaust, on the right hand side, the bike was a winner from the off.

The X75 was credited in creating a new breed of motorcycle, ‘the Cruiser‘ - lowered gearing, distinctive looks and relaxed riding position. Vetter created the Triumph Hurricane in 1969, the prototype was unveiled with “BSA“ on the tank, later to be known as the New Rocket Three.

Upon arriving back in England, it was greeted with the demise of the BSA marque. At the BSA-Triumph design facility at Umberslade Hall, engineer Steve Mettam, was supervising production of the 1972/3 machines. The Vetter BSA Rocket 3, became the Triumph X75 Hurricane.

Sadly with BSA facing bankruptcy, the design, went into very limited production of just 1125, which ceased in early 1973. Clean examples are now highly sought after and prized. The very well presented and highly original model has been signed personally by its designer Craig Vetter.

Originally exported to America, as most were, the vendor personally purchased the bike in the USA after searching for many years for a mint low mileage, original example. The Hurricane is supplied with a V5, current Mot Authentication Certificate and a comprehensive history file.
