The 1974 Motobécane Mobylette is a true relic of mid-century European transport— Practical, affordable and full of French charm. From the late 1940s through the 1980s, the Mobylette was a staple on the streets of France, zipping through city boulevards and rural lanes alike. First introduced in 1949, the model became one of the most popular mopeds of all time, serving as everyday transport for millions across Europe.

Powered by its original 49cc two-stroke engine, this 1974 example embodies the lightweight, efficient design that made the Mobylette such a success. Its automatic centrifugal clutch and simple operation made it an ideal choice for new riders, while its frugal fuel consumption meant it could run for miles on just a few francs’ worth of petrol.
