A ROSEWOOD AND BRASS BOUND VANITY BOX, 19TH CENTURY, by Austin of Dublin, with a fall front panel, sprung hidden drawer and plush lined compartmented interior, containing ten cut glass silver mounted boxes/bottles, an ornate solid silver gilt container with chased foliate decoration and a silver cannister with chased decoration, and a pair of gilt metal candle scones, the silver elements marked Thomas Johnson II, London 1858, except the base of the silver gilt box (marked Dublin, 1934)

Case in reasonable condition but with signs of wear.
The lid with marks and surface cracking consistent with exposure to water/moisture. Drop down front panel has a horizontal split and three chipped losses
One of the rectangular glass boxes has a glued repair with hairline crack running through. Both hinged trays are worn and a little loose, one with it's base panel detached, the other needs repair to separated corners. Other internal compartments and dividers a little loose and worn.
