A Volcano Orange, signed, McLaren paint mould. These moulds were given to the owners of every new McLaren P1 sold, 375 in total.

This test piece for the factory designer Frank Stephenson was given to assess the suitability of the colour for his creation. Of solid resin construction, weighing c.1.5kg.

Provenance

Frank Stephenson gifted the mould to a young artist who was commisioned to create personal piece of art for him. Our vendor delivered the painting and Frank gifted him the P1 mould in the launch colour of Volcano Orange; an intense, highly flecked and fiery orange that suits the personality of the car perfectly.
