Based on a German design, the DKW RT125, which the Allies of World War ll received as war reparations, BSA launched its first model, the D1, in 1948. The BSA Bantam was a mirror image of the RT 125, with measurements changing from metric to inches. The model Bantam, the D1, was first launched in 1948 outside of the UK and in 1949 within the UK, and produced until 1963.
This May 1967 BSA Bantam D10 is in original and preserved condition for its age. The bike retains its original engine, is we understand in good running order, and regularly ridden around the vendor’s estate. In ownership for 17 years, the bike comes with some service history, also older MoT certificates.
