Francis Barnett are one of the most famous British motorcycle manufacturers of small capacity machines. The company was founded in 1919 by Gordon Francis and Arthur Barnett in the works at Lower Ford Street, Coventry. The company was later to become part of Associated Motor Cycles in 1947. The business concentrated on making affordable machines for general purpose and commuting, lovingly known as Franny Bs, a name they are still known by today. The Falcon was fitted with the Villiers 5E 197cc engine, by 1958 the bike was updated with the Villiers 10E engine and became known as the Falcon 81.
This lovely Falcon 81 offered is part of a private collection and comes with V5C and buff logbook.
Described as being in excellent running condition, the Falcon is offered complete with older MoT certificates and receipts. In our opinion a classic Francis Barnett would make an excellent introduction into the world of classic motorcycling; affordable, and both easy to ride and maintain.
