the cover decorated in gold and silver takamaki-e and hiramaki-e with a cart, emblematic of 'The Tale of Genji' chapter 42. 'The Perfumed Prince', against a togidashi ground, the interior decorated in nashiji lacquer, with a tomobako storage box
