the sarcophagus shaped hinged lid enclosing a fitted interior with some mother of pearl fittings, below are two panelled doors opening to reveal one dummy and two real drawers over a further apron drawer fitted as a writing slope, the whole raised on bun feet

Item of good overall appearance.
An escutcheon is missing from one of the doors
One of the inkwells and two of the little gilt metal handles to the fitted interior are also lacking.
The feet are possibly a later addition
Original marks and scratches consistent with age
