A RARE GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. (GEC) DC ELECTRIC MOTOR the brass top plate cast ‘Electric Motor The General Electric Co. Limited, Type C Speed 1600, Amps 84 Volts 210 No. 10623’, the green cast iron base cast with ‘C.W. No. 1/8’ together with some correspondence and photographs from the 1950s and 60s to GEC enquiring about the age of the motor and their reply estimating its age to be 1907/08.
