A CASED SILVER GILT AESTHETIC MOVEMENT MUG, LONDON 1886. A silver gilt mug in a fitted Morocco case made in London by Joseph & Horace Savory for The Goldsmiths Alliance. The body of the mug is engraved with aesthetic style birds and foliage.

PROVENANCE: The Dr. Christopher Morris Collection, Shropshire
Both the mug and its case are in very good order. There are no dents and the gilding is all in tact. The case is also in very good condition with no leather missing nor damage. The escutcheon or reserve is blank and still has its original gilt surface, no presentation inscriptions.
