The "Glide" part of the Electra-Glide name goes back to 1949, when Harley first introduced a hydraulically damped fork, the Hydra-Glide, on its big twins. The name was applied to the entire bike in 1958, when the Duo-Glide was rolled out with rear suspension. In 1965, when the big twin got much needed electric starting, it was renamed the Electra Glide. For six years, until the Super Glide, the first true factory cruiser, debuted out in 1971, the Electra Glide was the only Harley big twin. 

The Ultra Classic Electra Glide in 2003 was at the top of Harley's touring bike range. From the showroom the fuel injected, rubber mounted 1,450cc Twin Cam motor and 5-speed transmission provided strong performance for a bike of such weight. The Ultra Classic was fully equipped with electronic cruise control, 40-watt per channel, 4-speaker stereo, AM/FM/WB compact disc player, separate passenger radio controls, CB, intercom and headset. Effective lower fairings come standard and shield you from the elements while offering convenient storage compartments and great looks. The King Tour-Pak® luggage components are carpet-lined and come with soft luggage liners as well as dual tail/stop lights for added visibility and style. These Anniversary Editions are truly the two-wheeled kings of the road!

This super top of the range 100th Anniversary Electra Glide has been owned by just one enthusiast for the last 17 years, having bought the Harley from the first owner. Over the years our vendor has enjoyed the bike for touring holidays and has personalised it with a useful luggage rack and illuminating Wild Boar fender mascot.

The bike shows 19,400 miles recorded, with only a nominal mileage since the last service. The Electra-Glide will be offered with original maintenance book and manual, UK V5 and MoT certificate valid through to August 2022.
