£1,500 - £1,800
ATTRIBUTED TO A.W.N PUGIN, A GOTHIC OAK WRITING TABLE, CIRCA 1840, moulded edge rectangular top above a single frieze drawer, raised on chamfered X-frame supports united by an arch stretcher purportedly designed for St Mary's Convent, Handsworth, Birmingham
75 x 76 x 50 cm
Good houseworn appearance. Some surface scratches to the top. We suspect that the drawer and its runners are a later addition. We can certainly see that the drawer handles are not original to the piece. Structurally sound with no other signs of repair.
