A LARGE JAPANESE SATSUMA FIGURE
MEIJI PERIOD (1868-1912)
modelled as elderly man standing on a rockwork holding a staff and rattan hat

Good overall appearance. Top of staff is detached but it appears we have the pieces. The lower part of the staff has been replaced with a piece of actual bamboo. As a result the hand holding the staff has been off and glued. Otherwise OK.
