F.B. Mondial was founded in Milan by the Boselli brothers; Luigi, Carlo, Ettore and Ade, naming the company Fratelli Boselli, with the word Mondial meaning worldwide in Italian. The family were best known for their domination of the world motorcycle racing scene from the late 1940s to mid 50s.
F.B Mondial produced some of the most advanced motorcycle engines in the world, winning consecutive world titles in the 125cc and 250cc classes for seven consecutive years. Their race dominance was so strong, in 1957 Soichiro Honda approached the firm with a view to purchase the race winning bikes. The original bike purchased by Soichiro Honda, still stands in the foyer of Honda's Motegi Racing Collection Hall in Japan.
This beautifully presented 1955 F.B.Mondial Turisimo Veloce, fitted with the world beating 175cc OHC engine, was imported directly from Italy then extensively restored during 2019. The bike was then stored for some time in a heated showroom to be recommissioned again in 2023. Offered with a history file and previous MoTs, this is a lovely looking example of a classic Italian road machine.
