the cabochon-cut star sapphire within a diamond surround to an outer border of turquoise stones, mounted in gilt.

The sapphire measures approximately 10.5mm x 20mm
Sapphire is darker to one half than the other and silk is very evident. There are also a number of darker inclusions towards the edge of the stone with one reaching the surface and causing a slight crack.
Diamonds are bright and livley
Turquoise stones vary in colour with some darker flecks.
The stopper has a few chips to the top and the gilding is quite dulland worn in places.
