A HEAVY MELON SHAPED TEAPOT, CALCUTTA C.1825. A large and rather heavy (40 oz. troy) teapot made by Pittar & Co. in Calcutta. The finial carved to match the lobes of the body.

The teapot is in very good condition. There is no damage nor old repairs. The only note to report is that the finial has a crack which is visible but still in tact.
