with naturalistic scales and raised tail, covered in a bright turquoise glaze with a copy of the Marchant exhibition catalogue

PROVENANCE: From an important French private collection formed between 1924 and 1941. Purchased from Pierre Saqué, 12 Avenue George V, Paris, 3rd April 1929.
EXHIBITION: Included by Marchant in their 2023 exhibition of Kangxi Biscuit and Pottery: A Private French Collection, no. 19, pp. 42/3.
