A GREYISH-WHITE CARVED JADE 'LADY AND DEER' GROUP
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
青白玉麻姑献寿摆件 清 18世纪
depicting the lady and deer standing on rugged rockwork surrounded by gnarly pine, with russet inclusions
15cm high
PROVENANCE: Doctor John Ferguson (1856 - 1944) and thence by descent
Good overall appearance. The head of the figure has possibly been off and repaired - it is also possibly that the line we are seeing is a natural fault within the stone. General signs of age.
