- The 1955 BSA Press Machine Tested at the Isle of Man TT races
- Outstanding nut and bolt restoration

The BSA Gold Star is probably one of the most famous and iconic motorcycles, of the 50s and 60s. The 500cc DBD34 was introduced in 1956. It dominated the TT races on the Isle of Man, with superb handling and a top speed of over 110mph. Later models had an ultra close ratio gearbox RTT2 with a very high first gear, enabling 60mph plus, before changing into 2nd gear.

Offered is possibly the most famous BSA Gold Star to come to market. RON 468, the original BSA test bike, was used for development at the Isle of Man. The bike has been lovingly restored to original condition by a restoration specialist using mainly BSA genuine parts which the vendor has accumulated over the past 50 years, such as an RTT2 gearbox and GP carburettor.

Photographic and documented history of RON 468 is included in the sale of this important part of motorcycling history.
