A VICTORIAN GOLD DIAMOND, RUBY AND SAPPHIRE SET BUTTERFLY BROOCH, CIRCA 1870
the body set with an old brilliant-cut diamond collet above the abdomen set with three graduating rose-cut diamonds , with ruby cabochon eyes, the wings set with either a circular mixed-cut sapphire or a circular mixed-cut ruby, each within a surround of rose-cut diamonds.
