A CARVED STONE MULTI-ARMED FEMALE DEITY, INDIAN, Possibly Lakshmi worn with age and with indistinct detail, carved with two arms aloft, holding ‘lotus’ and seated under an arcade of two ‘royal’ elephants.

NOTE: The worn condition of this figure indicates that it is of great age and despite very old losses to the arms and legs it has a subtle and soft character. The base has been drilled underneath for mounting.
