A CHINESE 'PEACH BLOOM' PORCELAIN VASE, LATE QING 19TH CENTURY
豇豆红釉瓶 清 十九世纪
Well potted with a rounded ovoid body rising from a neatly splayed foot to a slender waisted neck and flared everted rim, the exterior applied with a characteristically mottled peach-bloom glaze of soft rose-pink tone, subtly suffused with pale blush and lavender speckles, the glaze thinning to a lighter tone at the rim and shoulders and pooling to a deeper crimson around the foot. The interior and base covered with a transparent glaze.
