A CARVED SANDSTONE HEAD OF VISHNU, NORTHERN INDIAN, the clearly defined face with pursed lips and wide-open eyes, a small band of hair protruding from under the tall faceted crown, one large earring surviving to the left ear, with panels of foliate sprays over a central jewel flanked by flower heads.
16 cm high, 12 cm deep
