AN UNUSUAL CHINESE PORCELAIN BLUE AND WHITE AND COLOURED ENAMEL WUCAI, KO-AKAI, SMALL DEEP DISH

明崇祯 五彩洞石花卉纹盘
small deep dish, fluted with a scalloped rim, painted in the centre with large branches of bamboo amongst pierced rockwork in a pond, with plum blossom in yellow and iron-red, all beneath green leaves and aubergine branches, with two birds in flight beneath the sun and swirling clouds, with a brown washed rim, the underside with three leaves and buds in underglaze blue. The bases with six-character marks of Chenghua within a double ring in underglaze blue.
