A VERY FINE CHINESE HARDWOOD 'HONGMU' DISPLAY CABINET

of rectangular form, carved with an openwork key fret frieze and archaic style 'chilong' dragons, beneath further fretwork with a stylised lotus leaf band and a recessed openwork frieze, beneath a fine key fret rim, with humpback stretcher, pad-form feet and glass two-door cabinet.
Total height with glass display unit: 179cm high, 88cm wide, 57.5cm deep

NOTE: The pair to this cabinet is in an important private Japanese collection

More Information

Good overall appearance, two sections of the frieze have been off and re-attached, the silk is a little faded, old marks and scratches.
