NOTE: Raymond Allen Jackson (1927-1997), known as ‘Jak’

Raymond Jackson was a prolific cartoonist producing a great body of material for the London Evening Standard and the Mail between the 1960s and the 1990s. His well-observed work which was both humorous and often savagely biting made him one of Britain’s best-loved cartoonists. Though he was a political cartoonist, he attempted to be impartial, and approached his subject from a social angle, by employing widely recognised stereotypes as often as specific caricatures. Sir Lew Grade was frequently a target for his satire over the years and the following lots are the originals acquired by Lew  or given to him by Raymond, which hung in his home and office.:
