A GEORGIAN SHELL CAMEO AND GOLD RIVIERE, CIRCA 1820
the graduating row of twenty one oval shell cameo plaques carved to depict classical men and women in profile, all with trailing vine or leaf detail to the hair, some showing lavender colouration, with oval gold mounts, each linked by circular links chain, the larger central cameo with gold reverse, the back of the necklace with an integral clasp.

The cameo plaques are in good condition, with excellent detail and carving. Oen of the plaques to the back of the necklace has a straight edge and therefore doesn't sit flush to the mount.
