with slightly lipped, raised rim, painted in the centre with two white rabbits running from a swooping hawk, beneath overhanging branches and the moon, the underside with three stylised precious objects

PROVENANCE: From a private Japanese collection, Tokyo.
NOTE: A similar dish, possibly from the same set, was sold by Yukichi Inouye in the T. Edo Inouye & Son 2013 exhibition of 100 Kosometsuke Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Small Dishes for the Japanese Market in the Ming Dynasty, no. 3.
