Introduced in March 2014 at the Geneva Motor Show, the T was an updated version of the landmark California that had represented an entirely new era for Ferrari on its arrival six years previously. Formerly used for a limited series of exclusive coachbuilt soft-tops created on the 250 GT chassis in the late 1950s and early 1960s, the evocative California name was revived by Ferrari in 2008 for its new 2+2 hardtop convertible. As well as it's all new V8, the new California's multi-link rear suspension and direct fuel injection had never been seen before on a Ferrari road car, whilst its hunched rear wheel arches, single bonnet scoop and slatted wing vents were styling cues borrowed from the original.

The arrival of the T was a radical step-change from the earlier model and introduced a twin-turbocharged 3.9-litre, V8 elevating power output from 483bhp to 552bhp, while ingenious engineering virtually eliminated turbo lag. The centre of gravity was lowered with the engine being set 40mm lower in the chassis and 11% stiffer springs were installed together with a 10% quicker steering rack. In addition, the car was even more striking with every panel being restyled further by their creator; Pininfarina resulting in an even more elegant and purposeful appearance.

Matched to the lightning-fast F1 dual-clutch transmission, the California T accelerates from 0–62 mph in just 3.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 195mph. Yet, while the performance figures are astonishing, the car’s genius and success lies in its dual personality: a sophisticated open-top continent-crushing GT capable of long-distance touring comfort, and a true Ferrari capable of astonishing pace and precision when provoked.

This example, finished in Argento Nürburgring metallic over Nero leather, is beautifully understated with the restrained exterior hue accentuating the sculpted Pininfarina lines. Carbon ceramic brakes were optioned, greatly improving stopping power.

History is impeccable with Ferrari main-dealer service stamps every year since new, with all recommended service intervals attended to meticulously. Most recently the car was serviced by respected marque specialist ‘Emblem’ in November 2025. Supplied with its original book pack, both keys, original tool kit - present and correct, UK V5c.
