1968 Triumph T120 Bonneville
Registration Number: NAJ 28F
Frame Number: DU79057
- 9,800 miles since restoration
The Triumph Bonneville, an iconic name and an iconic motorcycle. The name itself came from the achievements of Texas racer Johnny Allen, on the Bonneville salt flats in Utah USA.
In September 1955, Allen had achieved a two way average speed of 193.3 mph on his special motorcycle, the "Devil's Arrow“, a 650cc twin cylinder Triumph engine fuelled by methanol and clothed in a unique ‘streamliner‘ fairing.
The new T120 Bonneville was named in recognition of Allen’s record. Launched in 1959 and running to the early 1970s, at which point it was discontinued in favour of the larger 750cc T140.
This very smart 1968 model has covered just 9,800 miles since full restoration. Offered with a historic V5c, with a little recommissioning this Bonnie will be ready to hit the open road once more.
