painted with a scholar and his three attendants, one holding a fan, one a wrapped qin and the other a group of scrolls tied over his shoulder, all in a continuous fenced landscape scene with plantain and a goose, beneath peony flowers and rockwork on the neck beneath a flared, brown-dressed rim, the base unglazed revealing the fine biscuit porcelain
