- “Best in Show” at the Bath Festival of Motoring
The Triumph Tiger 100 was a 500cc sports model introduced in 1939, in rigid frame and later plunger suspension form. It boasted a number of performance updates to set it apart from the 500cc Speed twin. An example of a 1946 Tiger 100 won the 500cc Manx GP in the hands of Ernie Lyons. The model continued to receive a number of updates culminating in the introduction of the swinging arm frame in 1954.
This beautiful example of a 500cc Triumph Tiger is one of the last T100 pre-unit Triumphs. The bike won “Best in Show” in the Bath Festival of Motoring and is an entirely original motorcycle which has received a fastidious restoration to bring it to the current remarkable condition. The Tiger comes equipped with Triumph’s optional quick fit rear wheel. The motorcycle has led a sheltered life since its restoration and starts and runs perfectly. A rare opportunity to acquire a wonderful example of Triumph pedigree.
