A SILVER MOUNTED MILITARY PRESENTATION DISH with inscription to Capt. H.M. Skrine from the Bath Troop of North Somerset Yeomanry Cavalry, the oval glass dish with fitted lid surmounted by an officer on horseback, hallmarked for Sheffield 1874.

Finial and base are fully hallmarked. Although the finial detaches from the lid (and we would expect the lid to be separately marked) we cannot see a hallmark on the lid but we believe it to be silver and to be made at the same time.
