cast standing proudly on a circular base, the bird modelled with slender legs, a hooked beak, and a flamboyant crest formed of bifurcated curling plumes, the wings extended and the long tail rendered with intricate openwork scroll motifs, with traces of inlay still visible, the surface encrusted overall with mottled green and brown patina
