A LARGE CHINESE TWO HANDLED BRONZE RECTANGULAR INCENSE BURNER AND COVER
KANGXI PERIOD , DATED 1698
incised on body and cover edge, with three registers of key-fret cleverly interlocking to form Wan character, all on four lion ask and claw feet with large wide flaring handles, the cover surmounted with an open mouth Buddhist lion finial with one foot on top of a stylised brocade ball. With dedication - ..................................... Gong fong na xian zu kao wei gong miao yuan lu shi yi nian wu yin shi yue qing liang yuan zany u zhi xiang yu ju. Corresponding to 1698 and of the period with an incised inscription.
