A LATE 19TH CENTURY COALPORT DESSERT SERVICE, profuse gilt decoration and cobalt glaze on a pale lemon yellow ground, the central panels depicting bucolic scenes of British and European lakes, the service comprising of 12 plates, two square serving dishes, two circular serving dishes and two lozenge shaped dishes, dessert plates measuring 12cm diameter, the reverse stamped with Coalport AD 1750 mark and inscribed with the name of the relevant lake scene
2 'Lozenge' serving dishes: 32 x 21 cm. One with a historic stapled repair to handle, with associated crack. The other in good condition.
2 circular serving dishes. 29 cm wide. One with historic stapled repair with associated cracks, the other in good condition
2 square serving dishes: 29cm wide. One has a hair line crack across the centre of the dish, the other is in good condition
12 plates: 23 cm diameter. One plate has a hairline crack across the centre, the others are in good condition. All pieces have slight surface wear and rubbing, consistent with age, but the service is of excellent overall appearance
