The globe is in very clean condition. Typically the varnish has browned. There are two tiny chips. One just off the coast of Ethiopia and one on Madagascar, but very small. Small patch of lost varnish down near the south pole and possibly some small minor cracks in the varnish. The interior of the globe with the celestial maps are very clean with some odd patches of discoloration and edge wear where the case closes. The fishskin exterior of the case is again very clean and a good colour with minor imperfections commensurate with age. Both brass hooks are intact and operate freely.
