each vessel of slightly tapering rectangular section, raised on four cabriole legs issuing from lion masks, each corner with a plain straight flange, the longer sides richly enamelled with a pair of confronting dragons with split and foliated tails centered by a pair of wan symbols and a shou medallion, the shorter sides with a beribboned chime over a wan symbol flanked by a pair of carp emerging from waves and two leafy blooms, and set to either side with an upright arch handle, all reserved on dark blue ground, between a band of upright lappets and a key fret border around the rim, the base enamelled with ruyi-heads on a turquoise ground, the reticulated cover with a pair of dragons contesting the 'flaming pearl'-form knop, the base with a gilt metal panel cast with an apocryphal Jingtai mark.
