The chassis was a unique monocoque backbone, fabricated from 20-gauge pressed steel panels, with the fuel filler hidden inside the frame structure, accessed by lifting the dual seat. The distinctive bodywork of the Leader was an innovation of Phil Vincent, a design for which the Vincent Black Prince most prominent. Factory extras available included side panniers, flashing indicators (a first in the UK), parking light, windscreen top extension, rear rack, Smiths 8 day clock and a rear bumper bar.
The bike on offer, an older restoration, remains in lovely condition and boasts a host of the above desirable extras. Last run in mid 2023, the Ariel may benefit light commissioning before being used this Spring.
