AN ELECTRO-PLATE MOUNTED GLASS CLARET JUG DESIGNED BY DR C. DRESSER, HUKIN & HEATH C.1880. A less common version of the claret jug featured in 'Christopher Dresser' by Stuart Durant, pp. 85. The difference being the rope twist decoration and lobed upper part of the body. The lid is stamped 'DESIGNED BY DR C DRESSER along with the maker's mark of Hukin & Heath.
