in the Archaic-style, the baluster body cast with simulated rope tied bindings, with a mythical beast spout and loop handle, all raised on three bat-form feet, bears two inscriptions, the first is on the interior of the cover "Wang Xing commissioned (or made himself) this precious He vessel, to bless his family and descendants', the second is the interior of the base 'This precious He vessel, made in Chang’an, for temple Cheng. Third year of Jianping, month ten. (Western Han, BC.4), Wangxing commissioned (or made by himself)
