painted with four panels of a sleeping scholar in a window and a sage and a lady crossing a wooden bridge; a scholar and a lady; two male figures with a lady, and another with a lady seated beside a lake with her attendant, all on a yellow ground with famille rose flowers and leaves, the flat shoulder similarly decorated with blue and white scrolling branches on the neck, repeated on the upright handle between yellow ground floral reserves
