Nuala Jamison 1948-2016
Nuala’s work reflects the importance of colour and light in jewellery.
Nuala was born in Lurgan County Armagh and went on to study Jewellery Design at Central St Martins in London. She graduated in 1972 and went onto design for the fashion designer Jean Muir.
In the 1980’s Nuala partnered with Caroline Broadhead and named their line of acrylic jewellery ‘C&N’. The acrylic designs would not only include bright combinations of colours but would sometimes have a weathered appearance, which was produced by shaping the pieces with a pumice over several weeks.
Nuala’s work is now held in public collections world wide and she continues to be respected as an innovative designer.
