AN EARLY AND FINE SILVER TANKARD, MADE IN KUTCH, INDIA, C.1870. Unusually for this type of work, there is an inner, plain silver liner. The outer skin of the body of the tankard is deeply chased with flowers and scrolls around motifs of men & elephants hunting. The lid is chased with scrolls and flowers below an acanthus finial. The handle is similarly chased with scrolls and acanthus.

The tankard is in good condition. There is a little wear all over as may be seen in the photos. There is no evidence of any damage, repair or other issue to report.
