A GOOD CEDARWOOD HAIDA GREASE BOWL in the Form of a Seal carved in stylised elongated flowing form with low relief panels, the front flippers flush to the bowl the tail flippers carved in a fluid continuation of the head and bowl, the interior with stain marks from use, the head and tail with darkened patina from handling and overall honey coloured patination.

PROVENANCE: Acquired by the mother of the vendor in the post-war period who lived in NW Canada.
