A SCOTTISH SILVER HIP FLASK, POSSIBLY DAVID DOWNIE, EDINBURGH C.1775. A Scottish silver hip flask. The cup and base struck 3 times with DD (reputedly the first mark of David Downie). Engraved with a full armourial and monogram. Edinburgh C.1775.

The flask is in good condition. The cap screw fits tightly in both directions. The removable cup retains all its gilding, there are no dents, splits nor old damage or repairs.
