A VERY EARLY KUTCH SILVER TABLE SNUFF MULL, DATED 1826. A large horn table snuff mull with tools attached by a suspension ring and hook. The lid and finial are chased with flowers and leaves in typical Kutch style. The lid is engraved "1826 presented by Lieut. T.I Fischer to the mess of the 4th Reg. N.I." Arriving in India in 1823, after a long career, Fischer retired as a Lieutenant-Colonel.
