AN AUSTRIAN SILVER & ENAMEL BOX WITH A PRESENTATION INSCRIPTION FROM JOSEPH STALIN, C.1945.  A blue and white enamelled oblong box with the inscription to the inside of the lid - 'A Gift from Joseph Stalin Potsdam July 1945'. Apparently given to an english speaking delegate to the Potsdam Conference attended by Churchill, Stalin, Attlee & Harry Truman.

The enamel has a section missing from the base and a chip to the lid, the sides are in tact. The bands around the lid also have two very small chips, one on the white band, upper left corner and one on the black band upper right. The hinge is in good order - please see photos
