A JAMES DIXON & SONS COMBINATION POCKET POWDER, SHOT AND PERCUSSION CAP FLASK of plated tapering form the top and base compartments with swivel lids, stamped Dixon and Sons, Sheffield, a steel bullet mould stamped ‘60’ and a shot measure.
8 cms high
PROVENANCE: The David Stainthorpe Collection
The flask: Spring works very well, the nozel wont turn off by hand and needs some greater strength. There is an indent in the side of the nozel just under the moulded ring where it looks like someone has turned it off with a tool in the past. The flask has no dents but it does have fine scratching and a few slightly heavier scratches. There is engrained dirt around the spring and nozel area. A few spotted marks on the flask.
